Polonia Angels receives early stage Polish company investment opportunities through its contacts with (i) Polish venture capital funds, (ii) Polish angel networks, and (iii) Polish universities and institutes. In addition, we receive opportunities to invest in Polish-American and Polish startups which solicit us directly. Our mission is to introduce our angel investor members, including but not limited to those of Polish descent, to the exciting investment opportunities that many Polish-founded startups offer. Polonia Angels functions as a much-needed additional source of potential funding to these startups, before or in place of raising funding in the American venture capital community.

How does it work? Startups and angel investor members in Polonia Angels invest can network with and support each other, both financially and through mentoring and business contacts and connections. Our network also brings together our Polonia Angels with other VC funds, angel groups, investors, and other financing sources. We provide a meeting point for the startup ecosystem of Polish-owned businesses in the United States and Poland.
How are angel investor members made aware of investment opportunities? Polonia Angels conducts regular meetings in an on-line format as well as by holding periodic in-person meetings in certain locations, depending on where the angel investor members reside. The on-line format is provided to the angel investor members through the group’s on-line video conferencing platform. During these meetings, angel investors are presented with investment opportunities from startups which present their investment proposals, business plans and answer questions.
Will startups be able to pitch their ideas to investors? Most definitely. The main purpose of Polonia Angels is to provide a forum in which Polish and Polish-American startups and entrepreneurs can pitch their ideas, business plans, and investment opportunities to our angel investor members.
Is there a membership fee to become an angel investor member? There is an annual membership fee of US $250 to cover the network’s administrative expenses.
